April and May have been filled to the brim with graduation sessions — from high school campuses, to college campuses, to favorite corners of the city that hold so many memories. This season is always busy, but it is the kind of busy I am endlessly grateful for.
Every graduate I photographed this year brought something special to their session and to my heart. I’ve traveled near and far — even making a few three-hour drives to college campuses — and every mile was worth it.
Some of these seniors I have known since they were children, including one who has been part of my life since the day he was born. Watching these graduates step into the next chapter of their lives has been emotional in the very best way.
One especially heartwarming session was with a couple graduating together and getting married just one week later. Their cap-and-gown photos alongside an engagement ring felt like such a beautiful picture of beginnings and endings all at once.
More than anything, I’ve cherished the conversations, the laughter, and all of the goodbye hugs — which I truly hope are just “see you later” hugs. It has been an honor to document this season of life, and I cannot wait to capture many more milestones for these incredible young adults in the years ahead.
